Originally seeing the light of day in 2008 and 2009 respectively as two limited edition EPs on the short-lived Aquaplano label Donato Dozzy and Nuel’s The Aquaplano Sessions  collects these essential rarities into one double album, lovingly remastered by the highly lauded Rashad Becker.

Donato “Dozzy” Scaramuzzi has long been appreciated as something of a visionary within the electronic scene of his motherland but this collaborative collection is the most compelling argument for how and when that grass roots reputation evolved into international acclamation.

The eight untitled tracks on display here combine coarse insinuations to minimalism with nods to the current vogue for menacing industrial techno to understated yet formidable effect, making for a compelling listening experience that skilfully owns its place in the more expansive settings of the club, albeit with subversive subtext.
